Bhagwan Mahavir Pashu Raksha Kendra, Ankarwala Ahimsa Dham gives shelter to sick, lonely animals and birds. Samaghogha's Late Shri Jadavji Ravji Gangar thought of starting this institute in 1990. Late Sheth Shri Lalji Velji Shah's sons Shri Damjibhai and Jadavjibhai donated for the institute.

With the help of other doners this institute has completed eleven years.

Situated in five acre land on Pragpur Road junction, this institution have modern equipment's, life saving drugs and experienced doctors to serve animals and birds. Vineshalay Museum at this institute depicts cruelty on animals and their reasons through various pictures. they also show this cruelty happening to the animal on videotapes in Navneet auditorium. The main attraction of the institute is a bull name Gopal who has horns that are 9 feet lone and 2.3 feet in diameter.

Doctors have conducted around 3000 operation since last five years. Last year they have operated on a cow and took out 45 kg of plastic bags from its stomach.

After the disastrous earthquake in 26th January 2001, the institutes allow people, to stay in the area of the institutions, who lost almost everything they had. The institution also gave away food, water and grass for cattle continuously for about 8 days after the disaster. They also admitted injured animals in the institution's hospital. Right now there are 1750 animals in the institution.

Today the institute is building a big pond in 150-acre land with the help of animal lovers. It is also building new shades and buying new mobile vans to cop up with the increasing number of animals. To help buy these one-acre lands from the five-acre please donate 51000 rupees and help the institute.

Impressed from the activities done by the institute many foreigners as well as Kutchis who are in foregone lands gave donations.
