Derasar | Mandir | School | Places

 

Shri Kutch Visa Oswal Jain Derasar

Ganeshji's Deri on the road to Gandhi square was basically a Jain derasar. In 1967, according to Hindu calendar, Shri Nana Asambia's Nathushah and other gentlemen built a small Deri in the recent derasar. Later Jain brothers has
built derasar in which main Bhagwan Adinath Prabhuji resides. In the south side of the Jinalay there is the Deri of Shri Neminath Prabhuji.
There also resides a statue of Shri Ajitnath Prabhuji, Shri Neminath Prabhuji and Shri Vasupujy Prabhuji. In the memory of his father Shri Devji Bhimshi Ratu, Veera Fariya's Shah Murji Devji has given a place to Jain Sangh for Panchtirthi. Four-faced Mahavir Swami's statue resides here.

Temples

Hanuman Mandir
In 1750 according to Hindu calendar, Shri Raydhanji's prince Shri Aashoji Jadeja came to Bidhda and for the first time built Shri Hanumanji Mandir. This temple is in the middle of the market place. They celebrate hanuman Jayanti in the month of Chitra every year.

Momaymataji's Temple
In 1750 according to Hindu calendar, Rao Shri Raydhanji's prince Shri Aashoji came here and built this temple. Momaymataji is the Kuldevi of Jadejas.


Hajipir's Dargah Sharif
This place was built 90 years ago. It was built around 1966-67. They set a fair in every month of Chitra.

Ganeshji's Deri
North side of the village, near the bank of the pond resides the Ganesh Mandir. Little time ago they renovated the mandir.


Shelar Well
In 1733, according to Hindu calendar, Jadeja Raishri Raydhanji has built this well in the middle of the village. There is a wadi near by the well that is called Shelarwadi. People used to come here to drink sweet water of this well and the devotees of Shiva came here to take bath. In 1962, the wadi was sold and people were not using the well much. Lack of renovations, the well became useless. In the month of Shravan in 2035 according to Hindu calendar, some part of the well broken with one big smash.


Shri Pipaleshwar Mahadev
This mandir was built 150 years ago under the rule of Anjar's Ajapal Jagir. Shri Shah Bhanjibhai Shivji Bhagat of Bidhda renovated it in 1986 according to Hindu calendar. On Gokulashtami, they set a fair here.

Ashapura Mataji's Temple
Rao Shri Raydhanji's prince Shri Ashoji Bava built this temple 300 years ago. Rajputs have renovated it in 1986.


Laxminarayan Temple
Rao Shri Raydhanji's prince Shri Aashoji gave the land to Rajgor Meghbai to build Thakur Mandir, but later it became too old and so Thakur Monji and Ranchoddas Valji has built Laxminarayan temple in 1972. According to Hindu calendar.


Otra Jakkha
A gypsy who was doing the business of selling Ghee, came from Sindh for about 200 years ago and encamped at one of the places of Bidhda. Later he built Yaksh Dev's spire temple in this place. Shah Shamji Kanji set marble horses of Yaksh Dev in 2015 according to Hindu calendar.


Jakhi Well
The well got its name Jakhi from the Jakkhadev's place over the well. This well is 150 years old.


Shri Mangleshwar Temple
Rao Shri Raydhanji's prince Shri Aashoji died in bidhda in 1980 according to Hindu calendar. His wife became Sati with him. His prince Bhojraj built the temple of Shanka Bhagwan and appointed Shri Mangalpuri Goswami as Pujari for the temple and thus it was started to call Mangleshwar Temple.


Sadhnashra and Samadhi Temple
The proud of Bidhda and Kutch, the library here has rare books. These well arranged libraries have total of 2300 to 2500 books.


According to historical proof, Kutchi Visa Oswal Jain society was mailny Kshatriya and worshiped strength and strength means Ma Jagadamba. Saccha mataji appeared on the bank of a pond in the village Gundala and people built her temple there. In old times the journeys were hard and it was difficult to go from one place to another. So people built many other temple of Mataji in different villages. In Bidhda they made the temple of out Kuldevi Shardama in Vinchi Fariya. In the dream of one of the devotees called Shah Ode, Shri Jakkhadada ordered him to get the statues of horses of him while farming his farm and set it in the mandir. Exactly same incident happened and he set those statues in the temple. Right now there are 72 statues of horses of Dada in the temple. The first two that appeared in farm were old and broken. So they put two new statues in 2034 according to Hindu calendar.

B.B.M. highschool

If you come to the village from the bus station, on the lest hand side of the market Primary school is situated on the North side and on the right hand side, to the south resides Secondary
school. Bidhda Bombay Mahajan Highschool was taken over by the government in November 27th 1956. Standard 8th started in 1956 and since 1960, it worked as a middle school. B.B.M. highschool is one of the best highschools of Kutch. Here they study till S.S.C. They organize activities like Shala Panchayat, celebration of festivals, debater meetings, prayer meetings, traveling, sports, and speeches of experts. Recently the number of students in the school is 150.

Bidhda's primary school was built in 1883. The Royal ran it as Darbari School in those times. Along with this school, they opened another Mahajan school. To increase the literacy rate in the village, they opened secondary school. Right now the number of students here is 800 and the number of teachers is 17. "Care", the institute of America was providing lunch facilities from 1965 to 1978. The school is well supported by the leaders of the village, Mahajan Grampanchayat and villagers. In 1979, the Primary school of Bidhda has won the best Primary school of the district award.

Other Places

Animal Medical Clinic
To save animals from different diseases, an animal medical clinic was started in Bidhda from 15-11-1956. This center was run at Salor Varanda in the beginning. The recent government building was built in 1962. To prevent diseases among the animals they give the basic diseases prevention doses and they also have the artificial egg bank.


Shri Nathabhai Pasu Varigruh
Against the population of 6000, the village has only one well near the pond. So there was problem in washing clothes. Shri Mandvi District Vikas Ghatak opened Shri Nathbhai Pasu Bidhda Mahajan Varigruh through the donations of 2000 from Shri Kunwarjibhai and Shri Bhavanjibhai Natha and 15000. The electric motor and oil engine filled the water tank. The tank is filled twice in a day regularly. There is also the facility of washing cloths and take bath. The water is also used for drinking. There is a separate place for animals to drink water. This plan is led by Bidhda grampanchayat.
Shri Bidhda Jain Guesthouse

Shri Bidhda Chah Koti Stanakwasi Jain Sangh built Shri Demibai Vajpar Gosar Jain Guesthouse in 2038 according to Hindu calendar. Here they provide meals and rooms at the reasonable rates. They also have the facility of monthly rented rooms.

Pigenhouse
In the memory of Khimji Padamshi Punja and his wife Panbai, the Pigenhouse was built in Bidhda and given to Shri Bidadha Mahajan. It was built in 10-10-1943.


Water Plan
In the memory of the donor Nathabhai and Shri Bhavanjibhai has built a water tank in Othra Fariya. In 1969 according to Hindu calendar, under this plan through the stand post. There is a water connection given to each Fariya and each house. Grampanchayat take rents of RS. 60 per year for this plan.


Grampanchayat Office

Bidhda Grampanchayat was open on 15th August 1952. It has 15 members in which two seats are reserved for women and one for law cast and one for backward caste.

Post and Telegram OfficeBidhada post office was started as branch office that was transferred to Mail over Siyor. In 1964, Shri Kunwarjibhai Nathabhai inaugurated the P.C.O. at Bidhda Post office.


Shahakari Mandali
Shakari mandali was started 30 years ago. Shri Veljibhai Thakarshi of Sadhanashram inaugurated Mandli's new building. There are 408 members in the mandali. It runs government's low rate grain shop. It also gives financial help for farming. It also sells equipment regarding farming in reasonable rates and it helps sell the produce of farming.


Dena bank
The lead bank of the district Kutch, the Dena bank's branch was opened in Bidhada on 1712-1770. Today the bank has 2486 accounts and the number of total deposit is nearly one caror.


Telephone Center

Bidhada got the auto service in 1982. In the beginning there were 31 telephones and right now bidhda exchange has 100 telephone under it.

 

Bidhda's Serviceable Institutes

Shri Bidhda Sarvoday Trust
In 1972, Shri Bidhda Sarvoday Trust was built for the purpose to do human welfare activities in the villages of Kutch. The boarder was created under the hands of Chief Shri Hirshi Tokarshi Cheda. In 1975, the trust organized the first eye and dental camp. There were eye diseases spreader in Kutch. Bidhda Sarvoday Trust organized diagnostic camps at the nearby places where every village can reach. The needy patients were brought to Bidhda for medication and operations, local donors for the trust. Trust has fought against nuctalopiac and polio. In this fight of the trust, all the people of Kutch have participated without the hand of caste, religion and language.

The efforts of the trust against the heart diseases are not only has a special place in India but at the international level. The government of India has made a documents film on the camp which is shown in all the languages in all states of India.

In 1984, at Shah Kalyanji Mavaji, Patel Arogyadham; which is situated on the Mandvi-Mundra high way near Bidhda's border; Matushri Laxmibai Jadavji Kanji put the Shrine of buildings like Laxmijyot Eye Hospital, Shri Premji Nenshi Savla "Premsmrti Medical Center" and late Shri Shivji Devshi Khetshi Sanatorium. From 15-5-1984, the Aragyadham was ready to do public services opening of the hospital gave way to the activities. The eye hospital, dental department and medical clinic are opened till now.

Shri Bidada Panjarapod and Gaushala
When our main occupation was farming, our ancestors did farming and raised cattle for farm works. At the time of farming every after 2 or 5 years, the lack of food made cattle die, and because of the lack of cattle the next years were also use to go worse. The solution to this problem was Panjarapod that started by the donors. This institution was started in 1930 according to Hindu calendar. In 1977 according to Hindu calendar, the concrete buildings were made for the institution at the West Side of the village. The institution always worked to save the cattle and animal, even in the tight economic condition and in the times of farming. Cattle and animals were given the best medical treatments and food. The institution mainly depends on the donation made by the donors.

The institution also does socially helpful activities besides saving animals. It includes activity like giving away strong and useful animals to the animal Upbringers at the low cost without any caste difference. It also work to produce good cows and bulls and for that it upbrings strong and healthy Bulls. From March 1985, with the help of government, it also sells cow milk to the locals at reasonable rates and without any caste difference. Every year from the interest if fixed fund of RS. 5001, it provides grass to the animals.

Around 1800 animals are taken care by Panjrapod and Gaushala. A local, the farmers from other villages and animal lovers provide grass for the animals and helps the institute. Noticing the work done by the institute, donors donates more and more money.

Shri Kutch Bidhda Visa Oswal Jain Mahajanwadi

Shah Khimji and Meghji Padamshi have built Bidhda Mahajanwadi and Dharamshala in the memory of Shah Padamshi Punjabhai and Shah Sojpal Padamshi. They gave the wadi to Mahajanshri in the month of Fagun in 1977 according to Hindu calendar. Here eight eye camps were held. They organize Mahjan's functions, festivals, Diksha functions, dinner get togeher, and educational camps here. Travelers used to stay here during the night when they used to travel through ship for foreign lands. Now government officials, pilgrims and other travelers are used it.
